The 2014 Clarendelle Bordeaux, 74% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from parcels purchased from all around the Bordeaux region, offers brambly black fruit tinged with a drop of iodine, simple but nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, blackcurrant and bilberry notes leading to a linear, quite cool and stony finish. Enjoy this entry-level wine, from the team that brought you Haut-Brion, over the next 2-3 years.
