Succulent, juicy, elegant and satisfying. The lightest of the six DRC reds, but at least it's balanced and not astringent. Full-bodied and dark-colored, with lovely mix of mocha, rose petal, licorice and black cherry flavors, accented by toasted notes on the fine finish. Ripe, sweet tannins are impressive for this vintage. Drink now through 2000. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
