The 2023 Chardonnay Point Rouge was matured for 18 months, and I tasted it from tank just before it was bottled. It has compelling aromas of elderflower, poached pear, vanilla panna cotta and wet stone. The medium-bodied palate is youthfully reserved, offering mineral-driven flavors. It has a satiny texture, vibrant acidity and a long, softly floral finish. A total of 321 cases were made, and the wine will be released in September of 2025.
