I tasted the 2024 Pinot Noir Le Caprice from barrel shortly before it was due to be bottled. It has expressive aromas of red and black cherry, citrus peel, Angostura bitters, mossy bark, licorice and well-integrated oak spice?it offers tremendous spiciness as it blossoms in the glass. The full-bodied palate is soft and spicy at this stage with grainy tannins, bright acidity and a long finish. It seems to be coming along a bit more slowly than the other Pinots from 2024. 1,428 cases are expected and will be released in April 2026.
