Noble sweet wines are very rare in Alsace and they are even more rare at Josmeyer. The 2010 Pinot Gris Selection Grains Nobles was picked in different sites and parcels between Wintzenheim (including Hengst) and Turckheim, and fermented in small barrels to 13% alcohol with 103 grams of unfermented sugar. Spicy aromas on the perfect, clear, and concentrated nose with honey and white peach aromas lead to a very clear and creamy textured palate, full of tension and energy. The wine is concentrated, piquant, tightly structured and reveals a complex, stimulatingly salty finish. This is a great SGN from Pinot Gris with very clear fruit expression and great aging potential. Only 980 bottles ? 50 cl produced.
