The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Enceigni?res is raised in used barrel with 15% new oak. It is quite austere on the nose with light, flinty scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with brisk and breezy green apple and pear. Steely in style, more like a Puligny in style with a reserved finish, I would enjoy this over the next five years.
