Medium red. Reticent but complex nose suggests small wild red berries and coffee; cooler than the Charmes. Dense and firm, with very good stuffing and considerable nuance. Less open than the Charmes but already quite aromatic in the mouth. A classy, very persistent grand cru that needs at least two or three years of further cellaring.
