I am aware that we must not blaspheme against a great vintage like 2005 and a great winemaker like Christophe Roumier, but served blind, I must say that I was not the only one a little perplexed by the 2005 Chambolle Musigny Village. It has a monstrously backward nose of blackberry, lead and iodine scents, but the sensation is not far removed from hitting an aromatic brick wall. The palate is structured, backward and for want of a better expression, "in your face," missing the elegance and finesse one associates with Christophes wines. Perhaps we just met at an inopportune moment, but I was surprised when the identity of the bottle was revealed. Give it 5 years in bottle and lets see.

ドメーヌは1924年にジョルジュ・ルーミエによって設立され、1945年にドメーヌの瓶詰めを開始。1992年には孫のクリストフ氏に引き継がれました。彼らはその卓越したワイン造りの才能でコート・ドールの偉大な地位を獲得しています。

ブルゴーニュのなかでも最も知的で知識豊富な造り手の一人であるクリストフ氏のワイン造りの哲学は「私たちはピノノワールを造るのではなく、ピノノワールを通して表現されるテロワールからワインを造る」という彼の言葉に最もよく表れています。

ルーミエの「ミュジニー グラン クリュ」は、2021年の高価なピノ・ノワールのリストにおいて、ルロワ、DRCについで3位にランクインしました。年々価格が高騰し入手が困難になっている生産者です。
