The 2000 Chambolle-Musigny Village is probably just reaching its peak. Deep in color for a village cru, it has a sweet, attractive bouquet with smudged strawberries, kirsch and dark plum. The entry is expressive and quite lush, that initial burst of summer fruit rapidly usurped by tertiary notes. There is just a touch of heat coming through on the finish, but it will continue to give pleasure of the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2016. Tasted December 2013.
