The 2023 Vosne-Roman?e Aux Reignots 1er Cru, raised in 55% new oak, has an exquisite bouquet that frankly puts the preceding Nuits Saint-Georges in the shade: wonderful, expressive red berry fruit, crushed stone and pressed violets, all with superb delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins. This is a little oaky at the moment, but that will be absorbed. Very fine.
