(13.4% alcohol with about 4.6 grams per liter of acidity): Bright, light yellow with green reflections. Very reduced on the nose, showing powerful aromas of wet stone and menthol but little in the way of obvious fruit. On the palate, a flavor of crushed oyster shell dominates. A tighter, more metallic wine than the Grandes Ruchottes, this does not share that wine's exotic fruit hints. Very austere yet thick with material and extract. The rising finish is penetrating, tactile and very long.
