The 2022 La Grande Rue Grand Cru, the famed monopole of the Domaine, has a very able bouquet with copious raspberry and wild strawberry scents, an underlying mineralit? that comes through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. It is well-balanced, very gentle in terms of grip, and a little spicier than the Clos Vougeot with a dash of white pepper and bay leaf towards the nish. This should age well in the bottle, but like others, it has a sense of approachability. Very ne.
