The 2018 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is the standout from Pierre Millemann, again, limited to just one barrel (new) with maturation in a "Wine Globe" after 12 months. This shimmers on the nose with captivating blueberry and blackcurrant fruit and bunches of violet. The new oak is more assimilated compared to the 2018 Corton-Renardes. The palate displays impressive weight, caressing in texture with a poised, succulent nish. Quintessentially Bonnes-Mares, this comes recommended.
