Although there was some reduction on my barrel sample, the 2013 Morey Saint Denis Village has decent mulberry fruit underneath, nice weight in the mouth with plenty of freshness on the rounded, straightforward finish. There is a breeziness to this Village Cru with commendable fruit concentration and I feel more harmony than the 2012. In fact, this is not that far behind the Morey Premier Cru this year.
