The 2017 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Les Demoiselles (Domaine des H?ritiers Jadot) is very serious indeed, unfurling in the glass with notes of yellow citrus fruits and white flowers that mingle with hints of crushed chalk, framed by smoky new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with searing concentration, chewy dry extract and bright acids, concluding with a long, authoritative finish. This powerful and structured Chevalier will require some bottle age.
