Dark red with ruby tones. Brooding aromas of black raspberry, licorice, dark chocolate and spicy oak are lifted by owers and minerals. Dense, plush and deep but not at all overly sweet, with its powerful dark fruit, violet and chocolate avors communicating full ripeness but in the process of shutting down in bottle. This very large-scaled, concentrated Suchots possesses huge material but it also benets from the leavening inuence of strong saline minerality. The broad, dusty tannins saturate the entire palate, with the wine's underlying minerality providing surprising buoyancy.
