The 2023 Le Petit Cheval has turned out nicely in bottle (it was bottled in July 2025), offering up notes of mulberries, plum preserve and rose petals, followed by a medium- to full-bodied, fleshy palate with juicy acids and powdery tannins. This has filled out with ?levage in barrel and is already showing well. It's a blend of equal parts Merlot (mainly from parcels on sandy soils) and Cabernet Franc (old vines on sand and young vines on clay).
