このリースリングは、ヘングストの中心に位置する3つの区画から造られています。南南東に面したこのグラン・クリュは、標高360mにあり、泥灰土、砂岩、石灰岩が混在する土壌を持っています。なお、キュヴェ名の「ヘングスト」はアルザス方言で「雄馬」を意味し、この白ワインはしっかりとしたボディと力強いミネラル感が特徴です。

2018年のグランクリュ・ヘングスト・リースリングは、6つの区画をブレンドし、樽で醸造された豊かなワインです。ノーズにはレモンのような香りとフェノールのニュアンスが感じられ、力強くフレッシュな印象を与えます。フルボディでリッチな味わいは非常にエレガントで、みずみずしさと洗練されたミネラルが持続します。グレープフルーツの苦味と共に、長く続く余韻が魅力的です。偉大な複雑性を持ち、力強く熟成に適したリースリングです。

The 2018 Grand Cru Hengst Riesling blends all the six parcels that were picked between September 28 and October 9 and vinified them in cask until the bottling in early July 2019. The wine is very intense, fresh and pure on the complex, lemony and still phenolic nose. Full-bodied, rich and very elegant on the palate, this is a lush but refined and sustainably saline Hengst with grapefruit bitterness and a long and promising finish. This is a powerful and age-worthy Riesling of great complexity even if not generosity in terms of perfect ripeness. 13.3% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2022.
